Laurie graduated from the Calgary College of Holistic Health and Clinics Inc. at the University of Calgary in June 2007. When Alberta started changing the regulations regarding Registered Massage Therapists, she didn’t hesitate to return back to the classroom. In May 2014, she graduated from the Professional Institute of Massage Therapy with an Advanced 2200 Hour Massage Therapy Diploma.
Laurie enjoys the rewards of working with her clients to identify their unique and individual circumstances. Since starting massage she has gained valuable experience working with a variety of clients using deep tissue and therapeutic techniques while being able to incorporate relaxation and stress relief for overall optimal health. She feels a massage session should focus on increasing active daily living and feeling of wellbeing, while decreasing pain, injury and anxiety to allow sessions to be effective as possible. She is also passionate about encouraging and empowering clients to take charge of their health with small but effective changes in their day to day life.
